Sandy Luna

Sandy Luna

I would like to introduce myself to all old and new customers of Buds Blooms and Bad asses, my name is Sandy Luna. I have been living in Tucson for the past 30 years, I am married to a lovely and hard working husband, have two children and one small chihuahua poodle mix. I am a florist and Mexican Folk Art artist as well. As an artist, I love flowers and have had so many connections with nature ever since I was a little girl. I grew up in Mexico City surrounded by flowers and I learned to love the desert as well when I moved to Tucson. Art and flowers are a part of my culture and I would like to share all my creativity with the beautiful community of Tucson and all their families around the United States. Apart from being an owner of Buds Blooms I am also the owner of Luna’s paper Designs LLC. I am an Art instructor who teaches classes on how to make flowers out of fine paper and paper mache art in different facilities like the Tucson Botanical Gardens and Tohono Chul park. Two years ago I had the opportunity to collaborate with J Schwanke of the PBS show Life in Bloom and together we made a beautiful Fall episode dedicated to Dia de los Muertos. I also collaborated with PlantPop to make a gorgeous video about my art in my home which you can watch by clicking on the link on the bottom of this page along with the PBS episode. Last but not least, I would like to thank Jasmine Young for letting us take over her beautiful flower shop, which she called her sanctuary. I will continue to make every single arrangement with her style of beautiful colors and promise to make you the finest and best bouquets in Tucson. https://www.pbs.org/video/dia-de-los-muertos-1pejae/ https://plantpop.com/blog/2021/6/24/luna-paper-designs
